About Four Walls Guide

Four Walls Guide publishes buying guides for four parts of home life: the desk you work at, the air you breathe, the coffee you make and the animals you live with. We write for households in the United Kingdom and in Switzerland.

How we research

We do not run a test lab, and we say so on every guide. Each guide is built from sources you can check yourself:

• manufacturer specifications and manuals
• retailer listings in the UK and Switzerland
• published independent tests and guidance from public bodies

Every guide lists its sources at the bottom. Where a figure could not be confirmed, we leave it out.

How we earn money

Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same, and commission does not decide which products we list. See the affiliate disclosure for details.

Corrections

Prices, models and specifications change. If you spot something out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
